Old
Business:
Club
History – Sonny continues to have difficulties with
hardware problems which are delaying his progress.
Fun-fly –
The next Fun-fly is set for Saturday, June 14th at 10:00AM. The event will be climb
and glide.
Balloon
Festival – Ed reported on the club’s participation in the
festival. We anticipate participating in this event again next year.
Boys &
Girls Club Training Session – The club will host a buddy box
training session with the B&G Club on Friday, June 20th starting at 9:00 AM.
Ed is readying his trainer for this event. Marlowe volunteered to bring his
LT-40 since last year they trained several youngsters on this plane. It proved
to be a bit easier for them to control it.
Frequency Control for 72Mhz – Marlowe
has not yet send out a questionnaire asking the members to list the channels
they most frequently use, but he will do so soon. Bobby pointed out that the
question is not who is using 72Mhz but the issue of impounding all inactive transmitters
inside our impound building. Our bylaws require that this be done.
Florence Flying Site –
Ed asked members to visit the site and give him some feedback on this potential
site.
Bellino
Memorial – At the last meeting we move the date for this
event to Saturday, September 20th. It turns out that this puts us on the same
day as Florence’s Pioneer Day. Jess’ BBQ may have a conflict with this date.
Marlowe will check with them to see if they will still be able to provide food
for our event.
New
Business … there was no new
business
The
meeting was adjourned at 7:31 PM
Respectfully
submitted,
Marlowe
D. Cassetti, Secretary/Treasurer
