Aviation Books for Club – The books are now in the impound building in the container provided by Steve Stafford.

Funflys – The next Funfly is set for Saturday, May 10th at 10:00AM. The event will be mail carry and we had a discussion as to the rules and procedures. At fun-fly events, we need to pass the hat around to collect money for the club’s charitable donations.

Balloon Festival – We now have a schedule for our participation at the event. R/C flying is scheduled from 8:00 to 9:00AM Saturday and Sunday, May 24 & 25. Ed, Marlowe, and Mark volunteered to give flying demonstrations. Anyone who would like to fly at the Festival should contact Ed Vincent. We need to submit the names to the event organizers to be included on their liability insurance coverage. We will have a covered booth and we need to provide table and chairs. Mark volunteered to bring them. Mark also asked it he park his trailer next to the booth. Ken Conway and Steve Stafford volunteered to be at our table to pass out club information and provide planes for demonstration.

Frequency Control for 72Mhz Transmitters –Marlowe will send out a questionnaire asking the members to list the channels they most frequently use. Dennis said there was a sheet listing some of the member’s frequency on the bulletin board in the impound building.

Florence Flying Site – Ed reported that he talked to the Florence City Recorder and she said they might still have a record of our contract/agreement in the city archives. Bobby thought our contract might have been dated around 1992. Ed asked members to visit the site. Some of the members who were planning on flying Saturday said that might just do that.

New Business:

Club Records – Marlowe reported that the club files need to be reduced in size. He made a request to allow him to destroy bank statements older than three years. The motion was passed.

Boys & Girls Club Training Session – The club will host a buddy box training session with the B&G Club on Friday, June 20th starting at 9:00AM. Marlowe will contact them.

July Meeting & Funfly – Our July meeting falls on the 4th of July. We decided to move the meeting date to July 11th and the July fun-fly to July 19th. Our schedule on the club’s web site will be changed accordingly.

Bellino Memorial – Marlowe requested we move the date for this event to the following Saturday, September 20th. The request was passed. Marlowe also asked if we could try Jess’ Best BBQ in Florence to provide food and drinks for the picnic. Steve from Jess’s is interested in bringing his portable kitchen to the field and serving us lunch. The motion passed.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:11 PM

Respectfully submitted,

Marlowe D. Cassetti, Secretary/Treasurer
