Old Business:

Training Help – The CAP will be rescheduling their training session with Ed Vincent.

Memorial Event – Our club has donated to the Sangre de Cristo Hospice in the names of Bill Worthen Sr. and Hammer Bellino. Mrs. Joann Worthen and many of Bill’s immediate family attended along with Ed Vincent and Marlowe Cassetti from our club.

Balloon Classic – Is scheduled for Memorial Weekend, May 23-25. Our club will again be supporting this event. Ed and Marlowe went to the Abbey complex and inspected the Abbey Field House and soccer field as potential flying sites. The field house is smaller than Harrison School gym, but taller, and the soccer field can accommodate electric park flyers and some glow powered planes, such as trainers. Ed will schedule a flying session for us to test fly and evaluate the field before Memorial weekend. We are scheduled to give R/C flying demonstrations on 11AM Saturday and Sunday that weekend and man a booth for the rest of the time.

New Business

FCRCC Swap Meet – Is scheduled for our next meeting on June 5th. Bring whatever you have to sell/swap to the meeting, commission free. We will try to open our doors as early 6:30PM for you to set up your stuff.

Student Training Qualification – There was a discussion as to what qualification is required of a student to their wings. It was decided to review this at the next meeting, so please bring your ideas.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:35 PM.

[Note – I was unable to attend the meeting so the minutes are based on notes taken by Mark Sullivan. Thanks Mark for filling in for me … again]

Respectfully submitted,
Marlowe D. Cassetti, Secretary/Treasurer
